The Waterside Cafe Bistro

What a little gem this place is! Ignore the simple exterior and proximity to the gas station - inside is a light and bright little restaurant with excellent food and service. The seafood chowder is outstanding, as are the cakes and coffee. The menu is surprisingly extensive and varied - something for everyone’s taste. Parking is tight - although we found a spot without much effort - but there also is a car park a 5 minute walk up the road (with a paved pedestrian path to walk on). Well worth a visit if you are in the area!

Underrated family run cafe! We received a warm welcome. Food was fresh and tasty — home cooked and felt like a warm hug:) Venison Casserole and Chowder were super! we had a great time! Thank you!

We stopped in at the cafe after a long day of sightseeing. Even though we were not greeted with hospitality initially our attendant warmed up eventually. The food was excellent. The chowder was great! We also ordered lasagna, curry and bean casserole. The portions were large and we took back our leftovers. I recommend this restaurant for a quick casual meal while in Skye.

Had the carrot and coriander soup. So good! And the coleslaw is great as well!

Whenever we are in Skye,this is our go to. Super friendly staff. Chloe was just gorgeous. The food is absolutely amazing. The cooks do a great job,kirsty and her team. Amazing.

Great wee place. Very suitable for those on a walking holiday as parking is limited. Fantastic choice on the menu, which is supplemented by a ‘specials’ board which again, has a surprising number of options. There is inside and outside seating (weather dependent!) There are snack and ‘main meal’ options. Prices are fair, in my opinion. If there is a rush of customers, then the table service, understandably, can be a bit slow - but definitely worth the wait. The food presentation is very attractive and everything appears very fresh. This is our second visit and it will be a regular stop on subsequent visits to Skye. Staff are kind and helpful and friendly. As a couple, we were delighted with our meals.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great food and lovely atmosphere! I had the black pudding salad and it was absolutely delicious—crispy, flavorful, and beautifully balanced with fresh greens. The staff were warm and welcoming, and the café has a cozy, relaxed vibe. Definitely a place I’d come back to!

Very nice cafe. The seafood chowder was fantastic. The salmon was very good as well but it was a small portion, especially so for the price. Everything else was nice. The Sticky Toffee Pudding wasn't the best we've tried.
